Overland Track Transport staff have a passion for what we do that brings confidence and safety for all of our passengers who are walking the Overland Track. We give our passengers the opportunity to ask questions to someone who has done the Overland Track multiple times that covers everything from water quality, side trips, reduced or extended trips, equipment demonstrations, safety briefings, highlights and must-dos, food protection from animals and local history.

Drivers


Driving positions available for the 2022/23 season.
– Multiple positions available and all positions are based in Launceston.
– 30-48 hours per week available per driver.
– We operate 7 days a week from 26th September until the 31st May.

Required:
– Light Rigid drivers license.
– Public Passenger Vehicle License (including working with vulnerable people and police check).
– Reliable and trustworthy.
– Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
– Ability to work unsupervised.

Desired:
– Recent completion of the Overland Track and experience in multi-day hiking.
– Previous driving experience in a tourism setting in a 14 seat mini-bus or larger.
– A love of the outdoors and Tasmania
– A good general knowledge of outdoor gear including rainwear, sleeping, cooking etc.



Office/Logistics Guru


Position available from 1st June 2022
Full-Time Position is based in Launceston.
– Daily tasks including phone and email enquires
– Producing daily run sheets for drivers
– Maintaining and updating our website and social media platforms
– Vehicle pick-up/drop-off for servicing/maintenance
– Cleaning of Hire Gear items once returned
– Maintaining stock levels of gear both for sale/hire

Required:
– Light Rigid drivers license.
– Public Passenger Vehicle License (including working with vulnerable people and police check).
– Your own vehicle.
– Reliable and trustworthy.
– Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
– Ability to work unsupervised.

Desired:
– Skilled in microsoft office, wordpress and Rezdy booking system.
– Recent completion of the Overland Track and experience in multi-day hiking.
– A love of the outdoors and Tasmania
– A good general knowledge of outdoor gear including rainwear, sleeping, cooking etc.
