The OT Experience

The Overland Track Transport “OT Experience” package is here to help you make the most of your adventure. With comprehensive support from the time you book your Overland Track pass to the time you arrive at your Hotel on completion.

Have an expert on the ground in Launceston waiting for you when you arrive into Launceston, we pick you up and have all your hired and purchased items on board. Once we collect your checked luggage we make our way to Aspire Adventure Equipment in the Launceston CBD for a 2 hour prep-session which includes packing (and re-packing) How to waterproof your gear properly, pack fittings, selection of meals, itinerary, track conditions, planning each day as well as gear demos/checks to have you feeling 100% prepared. We then drop you to your accommodation, ready to see you the next morning.

On the day of your Overland Track beginning, enjoy private transport to Cradle Mountain at a time to suit you and private transport from Lake St Clair when finish your Overland Track adventure. Our private Overland Track Transport gives you the ultimate flexibility and one on one time with our driver for any last minute questions/checks.

What’s included:

1 Hour Google Meet Session

Once your booking is confirmed, we will arrange a suitable time for yourself and your walking buddies to sit down with us over Google Meet. This is where we can assist with all logistics for your trip to ensure you don’t miss any vital planning. In this meeting we will discuss logistics such as flights, accommodation, ferry booking (optional) gear checks and all planning needed before you arrive into Launceston. After this session, we are always available on the phone for any further questions you may have.

Private Airport Collection and Transfer

We personally meet you up at the Launceston airport arrivals gate to greet you to Tasmania. We then travel the brief 15 minutes from the airport to the Launceston CBD and after your prep-session at Aspire Adventure Equipment we drop you off to your Hotel/Accommodation in Launceston, recommending the best places to go out for dinner to one of our many world-class restaurants.

2 hour Face-to-face Prep-session

Once we have collected you from the Launceston airport we make our way into Launceston where we visit Aspire Adventure Equipment, a local, independent outdoor store where we have a dedicated space for us to sit down with you for a 2 hour prep session. This includes properly packing (including waterproofing) pack fitting (this is essential to your happiness) gear checks and demos on all your hired items as well as lots of information on correctly lacing your boots, meal prep, hygiene, weather forecast, itinerary on the track and much, much more. Last minute items are available to purchase from Aspire Adventure Equipment on the day.

Private Overland Track Transport

Enjoy private transport from your Hotel pick-up to Cradle Mountain at a time that suits you. With a breakfast/lunch stop in Sheffield if required, we get you to Cradle Mountain safely and fully prepared for your first day on the OT. Luggage storage also available for any items/bags you wish to leave with us and have available again for you at Lake St Clair.

At Lake St Clair, choose if you wish to return to Launceston or on to Hobart to continue your Tassie adventure. This private service also allows you to select your most suitable pick-up time at Lake St Clair.

Meals

Included in the OT Experience package are 5 x Main Dinner Meals and 5 x Breakfasts. Select from brands such as Campers Pantry, Radix and Back Country Cuisine to put together the ultimate trail menu.

What’s NOT included:

  • Overland Track Pass (Book through Tasmanian Parks and Wildlife Services)
  • Ferry Booking (Book through Lake St Clair Lodge)
  • Accommodation (discounts available on our booking receipt)
  • Lunches, snacks and equipment items such as clothing, personal items, First Aid Kit
  • Airport transfers on completion of the Overland Track in Launceston or Hobart.

COST: $1,390 per person based on 2 people minimum.
